For the past 12 years, the Triple Crown Sports organization has hosted the “Battle on the Border” Tournament in Youngstown, OH. When this tournament started, it was basically just teams from Western PA and Northeast Ohio that attended. The tournament was a big draw, but mostly local teams showed up to play. Through the years, this event grew in name, and teams from further and wider started to attend. It is not uncommon to see teams from Eastern PA, Michigan, and Cincinnati in this event. In 2017, the BV BASEBALL CLUB did something that has never been done in this big local event. In the 10 age groups of tournaments offered, the BV BASEBALL CLUB won 9 of those ages!! We would like to say a special congratulations to the following teams that were champions of the 2017 “Battle on the Border” Tournament:
