On the big stage BV finished with a 10-1 record at Cooperstown Dreams Park

Beaver Valley Baseball Club won its sixth 12U Cooperstown Dreams Park Championship during their week 8 tournament at Dreams Park.  The program's latest installment of one of the top 12U teams in the country beat the VA Wolfpack in the finals by a score of 4 - 2.  The game was watched live by over 5,000 people and over 25,000 people tuned into webcast to watch the game live on their computers (these numbers turned into BV by Dreams Park).  This great team hit an amazing 47 homeruns for the week, and broke several Cooperstown Dreams Park homerun records!!  In the championship game on offense, Tanner Piechnick hit a 2 run homer in the first inning that put the team up a couple of runs.  In the third inning, Corbin Kessler and Ty Reginelli both singled.  Both scored on Kolby Wolf's hit, this gave our guys a 4-0 lead.  On defense, Dillon Horgan pitched a beautiful game.  He got through 5 tough innings of work and only allowed 2 hits and 2 runs.  He tired in the 6th inning, and JJ Bleday came on the mound and owned the Virginia hitters to help bring home the Championship.  Two double plays helped our squad seal this great victory.  In the bottom of the fifth, Kolby Wolf made a diving catch and doubled off a runner that left first on contact.  A huge double play in the 6th was also turned in on a strike them out throw them out.  JJ Bleday got the strikout, and Sean Graytok blocked the strike three and threw a runner out trying to steal third base.  The program also wants to salute Coach Danny Farrow for bringing home this Championship.  This was Coach Farrow's first Cooperstown Championship while managing a team at Dream's Park.  Coach Farrow has been with the program for a long time, and has become the right hand man beside Coach Smith (who has managed the other 5 Cooperstown Champions).  This team joins the 2001, 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2008 Beaver Valley RED teams that have won this great event.  The great thing about this 2010 team is that these players on this team are great players, but they are better kids than players!!  Congratulations goes out to this great team!!
